New NEWS and projects!!!!

Hello,
I know it has been a awhile since I have been on these blog. I want everyone to know that we have been good and decided to move the family to Missouri.

I know you are going to say why Missouri? Why are you moving so far away? What is out there for you that you don't have here?
My answer to those questions is: John's parents and sister are in Missouri(Mo). We have been wanting to move to Mo for 5 years now and we figure this is a great time to move. I have not been able to find a job here that will either keep me or even consider my experience. So we are starting our packing and leaving California on the 29th of July. I will be missing out on a lot of stuff here and missing a lot of people here in California too. I am a little bit nervous on how this move will be on the kids and me. I know John will be OK cause he will have his parents and this sister. He has always wanted to move back there since his grandparents moved to Mo and now he has that chance. I will try to keep up with this blog after we move so that you all know how life is with us back there. I will post picture of the pic and the family as much as possible so you all don't miss us to much. LOL

On another note I have been trying to keep the kids occupied with the TV lately. It is really hard to do when the temperature outside is 105. But we  have done Two out side projects so far.
The first project we did outside was I took a picture frame that I had a repainted it and the picture inside of the frame was just cardboard was we painted it and made hand prints on it.
Dewey was not interested in the painting on the frame or the painting of the cardboard. He sat in the house and watched TV while me and Taylor did the painting. I did the frame and some of the cardboard.

I think that this turned out pretty good for just the two of us and the heat was redonkuless.
We waited for the paint to dry on those and went in the house to get out of the heat for awhile.
Next we all went back outside( Dewey included in the all) and choose what color hand prints we wanted to put on the cardboard. This part Dewey liked cause it involved him getting his hand dirty and no caring that he is playing paint. :-)
I am sorry I did not get one of them putting their hands in the paint but it is hard to get them to put their hands in the paint on the cardboard just right. So I helped them to do the project right. After all I will have this hanging in my house and I will be looking at it. Lol right!
They had fun doing it too.
Here is the finished project. I had my sister add some writing to the bottom of the hand prints that says there name and age. That way YEARS down the road I and they will know how old there were when we did this.

The next project that  we did was fun to. This time both of the kids wanted to do it.
We made marshmallow shooters out of cups and balloons. The kids loved them.
We used Two paper cups, Two Balloons,Marshmallows, and some duct tape to help keep the balloon around the cup. I was going to try and use plastic cups but they kept collapsing on me so I got paper cups.

We cut the bottom off the cup and we used as marshmallow storage :-).
Tie the end of the balloon like you would when it is blown up. Cut the top off the balloon and put it around the bottom of the cup.

I had to tape the balloon on it cause it keep coming off when Dewey would pull back on the balloon.
That is all you needed to do to get the shooter going. Now you just put the marshmallows in the cup and shoot away.

Here was the target that the kids wanted to shoot at. Our cat Stripes; they never once hit him cause they could not aim very well.

The kids had so much fun that they were still playing with them until Taylor's broke on Saturday(7/6/13).

Hope you all enjoyed this long old post. I will keep this updated from here on out.

Love you all and God bless you.
